Off The Shoulder Top Boho Linen Blouse

Bust – Bust measurement is the most important for deciding your size since most of our garments are loose around hips. With your bra on, measure loosely around the fullest part of your bust.

Waist– Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist- generally around your belly button area. Don’t pull the measuring tape too tightly.

Hips– With your feet slightly apart measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Arm Length – Measure from the top of your shoulder till your wrist.

Ordering Pants? Let us know your preferred in-seam and outer-seam measurements. Measure those from an existing pair of pants that you like laid flat.

Happy Friday! Looking at pictures of this boho off the shoulder top makes me slightly sad, because we shot these in California where I wasnt sweating my butt offand I miss that weather so much already! The high in Dallas this week was at least 100 degrees almost every day I think.

But really, this boho off the shoulder top is one of those that you can wear now, with cut-off shorts and sandals in 100-degree weather, but its also the PERFECT top to pair with skinny jeans and booties once the weather starts cooling off! I love buying tops like this that you can get so much use out of. .

Another thing I love about this boho off the shoulder top is that it actually stays off your shoulders, as silly as that sounds. I love OTS tops but it drives me nuts when theyre restricting or you cant move in them! This one isnt that way at all super loose and easy fitting, and very comfortable.

How To Make An Off Shoulder Top

  • Start out by laying your fabric out flat on a table.
  • Fold your fabric in half hamburger style. The fold-line will become the shoulder seam of your new shirt as pictured below.
  • Use sewing pins to pin from the bottom edge of your fabric all the way up. Leave an 8 space open for your arm holes.
  • Sew along your pinned edge as pictured in the image below.
  • Lastly, its time to create your neckline! To make your top an off-shoulder one, just cut a wider neckline so it drapes off one shoulder. Fold your fabric in half to fine the center and then cut your neckline open along the fold line. Mine is cut open 22 but you can cut it a little, try your new shirt on, and then cut more if you prefer.
  • Finish any raw edges if you like. For lace, I used some basic Fold-Over Elastic to encase the raw edge and use a straight stitch on my basic sewing machine.
